Ameeya Singh is a dance artist based in New York City. Her practice spans movement, photography, writing and teaching. She is a 2023 Little by Little Brooklyn Artist-in-Residence, 2023 Emerging Choreographer for Mare Nostrum Elements ECS, 2023 Choreographer at The Next Festival of Emerging Artists, 2023 MOtiVE Brooklyn Space Grant Recipient, and a part of the 2022 cohort of ArtistYear Americorps Resident Teaching Artists. She has presented work at venues such as Laguardia Performing Arts Center and Tishman Auditorium at The New School, among others. She has been blessed to work closely with contemporary luminary Sidra Bell as a choreographic mentor.

Ameeya graduated magna cum laude from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in 2020 with a BA in dance and nutritional biochemsitry. At CWRU, Ameeya regularly performed in faculty, guest artist, and MFA student works. She was a recipient of the CWRU Department of Dance full-tuition scholarship and the Vera Orlock Award for excellence in dance. 

Ameeya has engaged with the work of recognized artists such as Sidra Bell, Larry Keigwin, Bobby Jene Smith, Jesse Obremski, Andrea Miller and Crystal Pite. She has received supplemental training and professional development through programs like the GALLIM summer intensive, Sidra Bell's MODULE, and the Gibney Company Summer Intensive.

Ameeya is also proud to administratively support the acclaimed dance company, Urban Bush Women, as their Operations Assistant.
