Little by little Brooklyn presents "How to grow una flor en el desierto", a poetry and dance performance by Alina Fresquez Patrick and Ameeya Singh.
Adapted from the book of poems and photographs by the same name, written by Alina Fresquez Patrick and then choreographed by Ameeya Singh, and performed by Jamie Muth and Jamie Kleinschnitz, this choreo-poetic performance investigates homeland, haunted family history, and the yearning to fully remember. Movement and words melt together in this performance to encapsulate a journey across landscape and generations to make peace with the past.
