artist statement
Dance making is my instinctual way of externalizing my inner world, so that I can engage with it out in the open. My practice is an ongoing evolution, driven by what captures my interest, whether it’s an image, a concept, piece of music, or writing.
Through my practice in the studio and on stage, I create immersive wolrds and experiences which provide a space for artists and audiences to connect, reflect, and engage in meaningful discourse. This shared experience serves as a touchpoint for storytelling and healing– values that sit at the core of what drive me to make dances.
At this moment, my work centers identity, belonging, and cultural bereavement.
